Hello, I am Donna Forte the breeder behind Elk Ridge Australian Shepherds. I love working with my dogs and puppies and meeting new families and friends along the way. Much of the year, I live in beautiful Banks, Oregon between Portland and the coast on 22 acres of rolling hills, woods, and pastures. It is not at all uncommon to see elk, coyotes, even wild cats out in my fields! The farm has been a wonderful place to raise my Australian Shepherd puppies! When I break from my starry country nights, I head for the lights and sounds of New York City. This combination is truly the best of both worlds and serves my West and East Coast families well.

I am in love with Australian Shepherds. They are smart, loyal, kind, affectionate dogs who love working and playing!

My dogs are completely integrated into my family-life and schedule.  Whether it is hiking, road trips, beach time or going out to a restaurant my dogs are always involved.
